We had 19 volunteers working at least 8 hours including coffee and lunch break provided by Lynn and her own volunteers.

The operation began with the coring of the green. The cores needed to be raked up and removed from the green. Once that was completed a layer of sand was spread over the green and raked into the coring holes. The weather was kind and we managed to complete the job before the rain started. Good job by all. The whole job was well organized and went without a hitch. Thanks to everybody for a job well done.

The event to cap off a great year at QBLBC was the Indoor-Outdoor Tournament held on September 26th. It was held under bright sunshine, which contrasted nicely with the previous night’s pouring rain. The sponsor, Best Value Pharmacy, were very generous in their support.

Stephanie Hahn provided advice and extra prizes to lucky bowlers, then presented the five winning teams their envelopes.

In top spot were Murray Trudel, Debi Sjogren and a beaming Michael Gibson.

2nd place went to Graham Rae, Suzanne Ewen and Chris Willis.

In 3rd were John Eyre, Nancy Blue and Linda Jacobson.

4th place went to Charles MacIntyre, Ray Chenier and Maureen Queen.

Rounding out the winners in 5th place were Erik Ewen, Kath Eyre and Denis LaPointe.

Thanks to the organizers and all the volunteers who made the tournament a success.

Open House

The Winter indoor bowling season will be starting soon.

Please check our website for Schedule 1, under Calendar of Events and Session Schedule.

Members are able to sign up for leagues at the Open House on September 19th, 10am to 2pm.

Members can sign up for 2 leagues at this time, if there are available spots after the first week you can sign up for additional leagues. We encourage all to sign up for the spares list too.

Tuesday and Saturday will be handled by the League committee.

If Summer only members wish to sign up for Winter Bowling it will cost $110.

We look forward to seeing you on the Indoor Green this season.

September 5th & 6th was the showdown for the District Singles Men’s and Women’s tournament. The weather was very pleasant and it was great to see so many different clubs represented in the viewing gallery. It’s always encouraging for the competitors when they have some cheering going on!

The Canadian Senior Men’s Triples Tournament was played in Windsor Ontario. The BC team of Dennis Verge (Victoria), Nick May (Victoria) and John Eyre (Qualicum Beach) won Gold. The other BC team of Dave Baldwin (White Rock), Bill Pattinson (Maple Ridge) and Jim Guszowaty (White Rock) won Silver.  Congratulations to an outstanding performance by our BC Teams! Two Ontario teams played for Bronze.

August 29th and 30th saw the district Novice and Intermediate tournament played at the Qualicum Beach Lawn Bowling Club. Congratulations to all the participants.

Hello all Bowlers:

As you may be aware, the North Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club is hosting the 2026 Canadian Lawn Bowling Championships, which consists of the Pairs, Fours and Singles formats.  There will be the Provincial Champions from 8 provinces competing in the Canadian Championships.  The Championships commence with opening ceremonies on Sunday, August 16^th for the Pairs and Fours with medal rounds and closing ceremonies on Wednesday, August 19th.  The Singles will commence with opening ceremonies on August 20th with medal rounds and closing ceremonies on August 23^rd.

 We invite and welcome you all to come to the North Vancouver LBC at 249 East 24^th Street, North Vancouver to watch some of the best bowls that Canada has to offer.  Admission is free and the greens will be full for the Pairs and Fours.  Come early to get a good seat.  The City of North Vancouver has recently introduced new parking regulations on the streets immediately surrounding the club.  There are two and four hour restrictions in the immediate area, however if you park approximately one block east of the club on a numbered street, there is unlimited parking.  Monday to Saturday, you can park across the street at the Alliance Church, but only in stalls numbered 40 to 69.  There is NO Parking at the church on Sundays.  The parking lot is reserved for church attendees.

 Below is the schedule for the Championships.  Please note that we will not be providing lunches for spectators, so if you are intending to stay for the day, please bring a lunch or visit one of the nearby restaurants.
