Fall Classic Winners

Maggie & Jiggs

Despite being chased indoors early by a downpour, the final Outdoor event went swimmingly. Evelyn and Nev were declared winners in a review of the very tight results. The smiles show that a fine time was had by all!

Indoor/Outdoor – Saturday, 25 September

All participants thoroughly enjoyed the mix of grass and carpet play this year!

The scoresheet shows the top teams: #1 were Maureen, Jim and Jan; #2 were Nev, Evelyn and Graham; #3 were Darlene, Erik and Barb; #4 were George, Suzanne and David.

Ladies Pairs

The hard-fought Ladies Pairs was played under some threatening weather. In the final calculations, Lynn’s split team came out on top by 2 ends over Pam’s split team.

Mens Pairs

The start of the event was just as at the overnight rain stopped. Then a bright sun shone on play for the rest of that day. The 2 final games held next day were moderated by clouds in a warm day – excellent for bowling.

Top honours went to Mick and Bryan, with 2nd place to Stu and Ken. Well played, all!

Mens Singles Tournament

Exciting games were played on Wednesday and Thursday, culminating in the final. It was drizzling as Stu and Mike played off before an appreciative crowd. Strategy and skill had the two players switch leads several times on the way to 21 points. At the end, Stu emerged as winner of this year’s Mens Singles Tournament.
