Nanaimo Gold Bowl Triples
We heard that one of our teams placed well in the Nanaimo event recently. Mike Ward, Helen Roberts and John Eyre were 3rd in the Gold Bowl Triples. Well done!
Parksville Tenderfoot
Qualicum Beach sent two teams to the Tenderfoot event in Parksville on 12-13 July. They did very well – congratulations! Colin Lloyd, Shelley Howieson and Jeff McEwen came in 3rd. Tony Morris, Debbie Elliot and Ray Chenier came in 4th. Both our teams lost close games to the winning Nanaimo team,
What’s a Quaddie?
A Quaddie begins with 4-person teams. They start by splitting off to play two pairs games, followed by a triples along with a singles. The event finishes with fours games. Berwick Mixed Triples
The Nanaimo Berwick Mixed Triples was held on 18-19 June. It was won by our QB team of Tony Morris, Colin Lloyd and Shelley Howieson! In fourth place were Mike Ward, Helen Roberts and James MacDonald. Congratulations QB teams!
Provincial Gold Metal
Erik Ewen, a Qualicum Beach member, was on the 4-person team that won the Provincial Gold Metal this weekend! They will go on to represent BC in Edmonton for the Nationals this August. Way to go, Erik!
