INDOOR Bowling

BOWLING WILL NOT BE STARTING ON MONDAY 19TH OCTOBER

For technical reasons we had to postpone this opening date.
We are, however, opening the Indoor facility on Monday 26th October.
We have worked out several very important issues and there
have been slight changes made to the session format please
read carefully.

Bowling will be for Qualicum Club members only.
The Medical Questionnaire must be completed by all indoor bowlers before the first session (even if you completed one for outdoors).

For new bowlers a Waiver must also be read and signed before the first session.
Initially we will have two sessions per day each of 1hr 30min. three days each week.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 10.00 am to 11.30 am and 12.00 pm to 1.30 pm.
Bowlers must use their own clean and sanitized bowls.
Same payment system. $5 per session or a donation of at least $170, unless you have already donated for the Outdoor bowling.

Sessions will be booked weekly for the following week only via the club web site.
Masks must be worn at all times whilst on Club premises.

The format will be singles, pairs or cutthroat leading to games depending on interest.
The session supervisor will arrange the play at the start of each session.
A new set of Guidelines have been made for the Indoor Bowling Return to Play. These Guidelines must be read and agreed to by each individual bowler before they can bowl.

The above are very brief details which are needed to start indoor bowling. When the guidelines are complete, they will be sent out to the members and published on the Club web site.

To enable us to run the indoor bowling within the guidelines we need volunteer Session Supervisors.
Session Supervisors are a very important part of this system.
It will only take up 2 hours of your day.
Maybe if you bowl you can volunteer for an occasional session as supervisor.
The Supervisor arrives 30 minutes before the session start time and will be required to maintain the protocol set out in the Club Guidelines for Indoor Bowling, before and during play.
You can volunteer for one or more sessions whenever you can.
Obviously, the more volunteers we have the easier it will be.
So far, we have had a very poor response.

WE MUST EMPHASIZE THAT IF WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH VOLUNTEERS THE SESSIONS CANNOT TAKE PLACE
