Bulletin 21 Sept

Outdoor Season

We have experienced so much in the last months that none of us could possibly anticipated. We did, eventually, manage to restart bowling but very restricted. I think that those that did take part enjoyed just being outdoors and bowling. I would like to thank on behalf of the bowling members George and his organizing the website to book a bowling session and Janice and her group of volunteer supervisors for setting up and supervising the sessions. It has been a short season that unfortunately has to come to an end.
The last sessions will be on Saturday 26th September.
The reason for this is that the routine fall green maintenance is still required needs at least two days of dry weather of which, if the forecast is to believed will be rare in the next couple of weeks. This year we have had to change the routine for this maintenance to remain within the
guidelines. There is to be a reduced crew for the job who will be contacted in the next couple of days. After the work has been done and if the weather is suitable there is a possibility to have a few more days of outdoor bowling.

Indoor Bowling

The winter indoor season is still a possibility. A decision is yet to be made but we are working initially towards setting u a similar format that was used outdoors. There has been a good response so far from members wishing to bowl. When we have everything in place to allow us to start up indoors you will be notified. As with the outdoor there has to be the correct guidelines in place to make bowling safe for all taking part.
